We are writers

We are writers. We are storytellers. We imagine the entire universe inside our heads. We are artists because the unique creations don't stay in our heads only; we share them with others. We are learning, adopting, and searching. We don't give up. We rest, yes, but we keep going. We seek the best stories to tell. As storytellers, we are unstoppable. We read other works to grow, to see what is out there in the literary world. We learn from stories and others, but we stay ourselves.
Our stories want to be told. We never give up because that is giving up on our creative self. We learned ages ago that we are the worst when we don't create. The pull is always there - the pull to write as intuitive writers. We want our subconscious to prepare the material so we can work. That could mean waiting or writing or brainstorming, but we are always present. We are listening. We are working. Writers who are like us understand us as we understand them. We go all in.
It could mean working for three years until we see some momentum. We accept that. Whatever it takes. We don't quit when we are rejected. We keep going. We writers keep writing. Imagination is the key. We open the door; we switch the light on; we sit at the table; and we write. We will live in that state for as long as it's necessary. That is our job - to write. We have a calling. When we feel the pull to write, that calling is amplified. Our intuition knows. Our inner self is guiding us. We know because we have heard it speak to us gently.
I believe in callings. Everyone has one. It might be in cooking, arts, administration or writing. Every human has a calling, and when we stop fitting into spaces and things that are not for us, we discover the things that are. Suddenly we see clearly; we are not confused. When we let go of things that are not for us, things that are right for us appear in clear light. We run in our own lane. We focus on our own talents and gifts.
Writers never give up. Those who quit find out writing wasn't for them and then focus on other things. We must be honest with ourselves and leap in faith forward. Step by step, we walk each day in faith that the next step will appear as we need it.
We don't focus on the future too much, but only on the next step. As we do, our creativity blossoms, and stories appear on the page as we write, trusting the next word until we have a full story.
